ABOUT

About Me

I'm Rab, and for over three decades, I've been building and repairing motorsport bodies. I've worked on everything from fitting cages to handling the accident repairs that are part of the motorsport world.
I started my career as a panel beater in the accident repair industry back in 1988. While I was involved with rallying as a hobby—spending most weekends supporting other competitors—I eventually progressed into the world of motorsport professionally in 1994. That's when I moved down south from my home in Scotland to start a career with Prodrive, which at the time was heavily involved with the Subaru World Rally Team.

Initially, I was building bodyshells for drivers like Colin McRae, Kenneth Eriksson, and Piero Liatti, before transitioning to the test team and working on special projects. After Subaru pulled out, I continued my career with teams such as 888, contributing to their touring car and GT projects by helping build new bodies, repair existing ones, and manufacture components for various race cars.

I've also spent time working with teams like RML, supporting their motorsport commitments in WTCC and other special projects. Additionally, I've been heavily involved with Tuthill Porsche for many years, assisting with their various projects. I still maintain strong relationships with all these teams, both past and present.

About My Rallying

I'm not just in the workshop 24/7.
I also really enjoy building my own rally cars and crashing round a course in them myself. Not only is it a great way to test the build quality, but it's also given me a load of great stories & memories, and I've met many great people through rallying.
